Twaalf Toon Tekeningen, what means "Twelve Tone Drawings," is an album inspired by the sounds and techniques used by composers in the 20th and 21st century.
Tape recorders, a Wurlitzer piano, synth's, Electric guitar a lab steel, drums and a bunch of effects alongside the improvising skills of this trio, form a unique sound.
Raoul van Herpen also made compositions that are heavily drawn on 12-tone, code, experimentation and silence, that fit perfectly in the landscape of this album.
This album wouldn't be the same without the creativity, musicality, and willingness by Timo van Ruiswijk and Tobias Kerkhoven to dive into this world of improvisation, sound and unusual compositions.
