Tempered Rhyme

When I make music I look for the grayish song with an energetic mood. To let the thing in motion happen in a happy occurrence. Without the cruel wit, making the wavering and precise join. Tempering rhyme with nuance yet more, like a blue jumble of clear stars melting in air.

Making music is making poetry. At least that's what I strive for in life. I embrace the adventure and unexpected, the exploration, artistic, and poetry.
In naming the pieces on this album, I drew inspiration from Paul Verlaine's poem "Art Poétique." I recommend you to read it. He points out a few things I find very interesting as an artist. Not forgetting demurs at some phrases.

All the pieces on this album are performed on modular synthesizers. They all started as one big 'patch-program' that consists of sounds and possibilities of routing signals, with silence and noise through various modulations. Next, I improvise with this material until a form arises. I practice that form and perform it on a recording. In this big 'patch-programs,' I was able to perform every piece in one go without overdubs. After that, I polish, temper, arrange or add until I'm satisfied with the final result.

What I like is the rawness and life-like feel of these recordings. The music is direct and vague. It's never the same. It takes you to new places of sound and your imagination. It speaks but doesn't have to talk to you. Determent and free where the wavering and precise join. It is music and just sounds. It's poetry.
